Falls Crossing is a tightknit mining town in outback Australia. The discovery of local teenager Julene Ecklund’s body floating in a waterhole shocks the community, and devastates those close to her. Twenty-two years later Julene’s younger sister, Marybeth, returns home from London, triggering events that will bring buried secrets to the surface. As She Fell weaves together eight people’s stories from the past and the present, gradually revealing the truth behind Julene’s death. It is a novel about loss and transformation, about the nature of secrets, mortality and love.
